The Rotary Club of Peoria North. Along with a local retirement center, we helped organize a blood drive on September 20, 2016.
Members of the Rotary Club of Peoria North co-sponsored the “Battle of the Badges” blood drive held Sept. 20 at Freedom Plaza Retirement Center in Peoria. The blood drive, which pitted members of local police departments against local firefighters in a quest to generate blood donations for the American Red Cross, was the brainchild of club members John and Belinda Moore. Rotary Club members volunteering at the event included, from left, Rebecca Wilks, Belinda Moore, Cheryl Palmer and Gary Connelly. During the event, the club also conducted a mini-book sale to help raise funds to support local libraries in the Peoria School District.
