ENJOY ROTARIAN HOSPITALITY IN THE LAND OF YOUR DREAMS!

Join us for a Rotary Friendship Exchange and you will be inspired, dazzled and enriched!

Rotary Friendship Exchange is an outbound and inbound time to meet new Rotarian friends from around the world in a relaxed atmosphere. We host our guests here in our district and they host us in their district.

Recently we completed the first half of our Rotary Friendship Exchange (RFE) with six outstanding Rotarians from India District 3040 as they traveled our district and celebrated with us at District Conference in Carefree.  “Once In a Life Time” is how our India Rotary friends described their time with us. This is their highest order of appreciation. They convey their appreciation, compliments & heartfelt thanks to all the D-5490 Rotarians who took care of their team while they visited our district. If you were at our District Conference in Carefree you had a chance to meet the team.

We will complete the second half of the RFE late January-early February 2017 as we visit D-3040 and share their hospitality. We will see and learn about their beautiful area. The Taj Mahal is close by for those who have dreamed of visiting it. We have several openings for this trip. Contact Don Schiller, PDG, RFE District 5490 Chair If you are interested.

We are planning to have other Rotary Friendship Exchanges during the 2016-17 Rotary year. Where will we go?  It will be to the land of your dreams! RFE’s can be designed to fulfill the desires and interests of the participants. Rotary International provides guidelines for a RFE and we are able to plan within the ideas set forth while filling the specific interests and desires of our team.

Enjoy traveling to exciting and exotic places, entertain new Rotarian friends in your home, share customs, traditions, cultures and broaden your horizons.  For example, our team going to India will
visit the Khajrana Ganesh temple, built by Rani Ahilyabai Holkar, is a popular landmark in Indore and a famous tourist attraction. The Patalpani waterfalls make for a great picnic spot while the Sarafa Bazaar is heaven for foodies. The historic Lal Bagh palace is a brilliant piece of architecture and worth the tour. Similar opportunities also await you on other RFE excursions to be held in the coming year.

Are you interested in learning more about RFE?  Please contact me and I will be glad to provide all the information and answers you desire.  We will be pleased to make a personal appearance at your club and provide a program about Rotary Friendship Exchanges.
