Ice Cream Social for Nadaburg School
By Roger Bowen - RC of Sun City West

Our club has "adopted" The Nadaburg School in Wittmann Arizona, about half way between Sun City West and Wickenburg.

We have provided 100s of books for their Library.  We started off providing 2 books a week 3 years ago.  The books were donated in the name of the speaker at our weekly meeting.  The speakers really appreciate that we are donating books in their name to a school who enjoy the books.

Each year we have had social at the school for the school.  It is truly an enjoyment to see the happy faces of the students come through the serving line.

Last year we provided Rotary pins and this year we provided Rotary stickers for them to wear.  The stickers were a great hit!

Each year about 30 Rotarians, spouses and friends converge on the Nadaburg shcool for the social. Rotarian Pastor Phill Robbins, Pastor of the Crown of Life Lutheran Church, gives several small groups of students and teachers a brief history of Rotary and why The Rotary Club is helping their school and serving them a cookie and ice cream treat in the pictures below.
