Dear Rotarians:

Welcome to Rotary year 2016-17 and our fifth Fireside Chat, we are almost half way through the Rotary Year!

Let me be the first to wish all of you a "Happy Thanksgiving" as we approach the holiday season.

My club visits are complete except one.  I am so proud of the Rotary Clubs in 5490 with everything that is being to serve humanity!  All of the Rotary Clubs in the District have used the three tools I introduced at my induction; Imagine, Engage & Serve to do good in the world ... Thank You for Your Service!

I was honored to join 25+ other Rotarians in Veracruz, Mexico at the USA Mexico Conference October 27 - October 31.

There will be a full story in Decembers newsletter.  We'll have lots to share; new projects, new grants, money spent, lots of pictures and much, much more.  Keep your eyes opened for the December Newsletter.  I'll put a little  (fire) under Bob & Amy to make sure it gets out on December 1st.

We expected this newsletter will be late this month as AG Bob Murray and I were in Mexico when it was due to come out.

November is Foundation Month.  Have you planned what your club doing to recognize Rotary Foundation Month?  There are lots of activities going on in Arizona and all around the world to honor The Rotary Foundation.

We had two fantastic District Training Assemblies in October thanks to District Trainer Noel DeSousa and his staff of facilitators.  I thank everyone for their time and efforts in putting on or attending the assemblies.  The more knowledge about Rotary we can grasp from the learning sessions will help make us better Rotarians and Leaders.  Thank you for making the time to attend!

Many of you know that we had to send Buddy to The Rainbow Bridge.  He has not been doing very well lately so we thought it best to allow him to go on his way.  We'll be looking for two little Buddys over the next month.  I'll update the picture when we have found our new Buddys.

Next month, December, is Disease Prevention and Treatment Month.
