Membership Update
By Tony Inglese - Membership Chair District 5490

Well the first quarter of the year is gone and now we move into probably the busiest quarter of the year with holidays, family and trying to wrap up your business goals for the year.

But it’s also a great time to talk about Rotary with your friends and family

October was a busy month for training and I want to thank all of you that made the commitment to help your clubs grow.

As you probably know Membership is not only a priority with Rotary International and the district but is the life blood of the future of successful clubs.
Here is the Recruiting Idea for this month….
In most community’s the local paper maybe even LinkedIn and maybe even Facebook have a section that introduces new business in the community. They may even promote a “Business of the Month or Year” through the Chamber of Commerce.
This could be a good source for you as a prospect.
Contact these business owners; invite them to your regular meeting as a speaker.
Let them discuss their industry or their business (depending on your Club Culture).
Now that they have had a chance to visit your club, hear about the projects that you are involved in, the interaction that the members have (AKA Fun). They may have become a prospect.
Note of Interest:
Is your Club READY for new members??????
Take a look around and visualize what visitors see and feel.
Are you friendly to visitors?
Are you Cliquish?
 Are you worth their time?
If you need any help you’re Assistant Governor, your Area Membership Coordinator have various tools and ideas that you may benefit from.
The District is here to help support you.
