Why Did You Join Rotary?
By David Simmer - AG RC of Sedona

When I joined Rotary several years ago I had little use for the Rotary Foundation….in fact I encouraged members of my club to think about giving funds directly to our club instead.

Like many other Rotarians I had joined Rotary to do good in my community….to make my community a better place.

I was, and continue to be, passionate about making the community where I live and the surrounding communities a better and more desirable place to live, enjoy our life, friends and community events.  We are blessed to live in such a beautiful place and I wanted to make it even better!

So no one was more surprised than I was when four years later I actually found myself lobbying to join the Rotary Foundation team for District 5490.

Today I’m the Annual Fund Chair for the District.  What happened?  I look forward to sharing that journey and my story with your Club.

Send me an email with the dates you would like me to visit your club and share my story.  Make sure to include a few dates to insure we can make a connection.

Thank you for your interest and I look forward to sharing my story with YOUR club!
