New Rotary District 5495 is launching an innovative concept in leadership development and club support.  Our new Club Leadership Academy (CLA) has drawn considerable praise and attention from Districts and leaders across the western United States for the creative approach it offers to help clubs expand their impact.

Who should attend?  The program will be incredibly beneficial for those who hold leadership positions. CLA will offer skill-building and support for Presidents-Elect, service chairs, secretaries, treasurers, foundation and membership chairs and committee members.  But CLA will offer classes that every Rotarian (and even some non-Rotarians) will find helpful, thought-provoking and inspirational as they consider how to build leadership skills, how to strengthen their club and how to best serve their community.

What is Club Leadership Academy (CLA)?  CLA is an innovative education program that will allow Rotarians to choose their unique course of study from over 35 different leadership and club-building offerings.  CLA workshops and classes will help clubs and its leaders to:
  • expand their club’s impact in their community
  • conduct productive and interesting club and board meetings
  • explore new ideas for service
  • engage local youth in character building programs
  • learn about best practices for large, mid and small clubs
  • use goals and tracking to build success and pride in the club
  • engage new members
  • build collaborations with others in Rotary and in their community
  • integrate the ethics of Rotary into members’ business and personal life
  • build a welcoming culture in the club
  • and much, much more

When and where is Club Leadership Academy being held?  CLA will be held on Saturday, April 22nd at the beautiful Black Canyon Conference Center located at 9440 N. 25th Avenue in Phoenix (just off Interstate 17 in northern Phoenix).

And there’s MORE:  Make it a full day of inspiration, or join us just for dinner, as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of Women in Rotary featuring keynote speaker, Mary Berge.  Mary will share her reflections and projections on how Rotary has been strengthened by inviting women to help us change the world.
