Arizona's Rotary Foundation Day

Arizona's three Rotary Districts came together to celebrate the Rotary Foundation in early November. We had three very special guests!
I was honored to participate in the 2014 Arizona Rotary Foundation Day in Tempe. Nearly 200 Rotarians from across the State came together to share their support for The Rotary Foundation and to learn the latest information regarding the Global Polio Eradication efforts, and the status of our Rotary Foundation.
To help us with the day, John Osterlund joined us. John is the General Manager of the Rotary Foundation. In addition to participating in an open forum panel, John delivered a passionate keynote address during the luncheon. We also heard from Aaron Zeichner. Aaron is the Polio Program Manager for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Aaron also participated on the panel, and delivered a data-rich presentation during lunch.
Finally, we were thrilled to have Maddie and her mother with us. Maddie, a polio victim/survivor, raises awareness for the Global Polio Eradication efforts through her painting. You can see one of her pieces of art in the first photo below.
It was a great day with great people who have great dreams for our world!
