Did you know that hundreds of children currently in the foster care system, and exiting the system, are still moving their belongings in trash bags?
Our Rotary club, Camelback Crossroads, has been on a mission to make sure no child ever has to do this again.
We have partnered with OCJ Kids, a local non-profit, to help provide new and gently used suitcases, backpacks, and duffle bags for Arizona foster children for the past few years. To date, we have donated over 1,000 bags and we have set a goal to collect 600 more this fall.
We would love your help to make this happen! There are several ways all our Rotary clubs can come together for these children.
First, you can have someone from our club come and talk to your club about this amazing opportunity to serve and what might best suit your club.
Second, you can collect gently used or new suitcases, backpacks and duffle bags and we will come pick them up! Another way to help is to purchase a duffle bag from our Amazon Smile wish list and send it directly to OCJ Kids.
