As a community partner in Alli Ortega Empty Bowls 2017, Scottsdale Sunrise Rotary invites you to attend the November 29 event at Scottsdale Community College Cafeteria. Between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. a handcrafted ceramic bowl and simple pasta lunch are available for $10. All proceeds go to Vista del Camino Social Services to provide basic assistance to Scottsdale residents in need.
At noon, a short program will include representatives from the City of Scottsdale, Scottsdale Unified Schools, Scottsdale Arts and Scottsdale Community College. The event is named in memory of the late Alli Ortega, daughter of Scottsdale Sunrise Rotary President David Ortega and Rosemary Gannon. Alli was a local artist, City of Scottsdale employee and loyal Empty Bowls volunteer.

Supporting Vista del Camino Community Center programs is a primary community service commitment of Scottsdale Sunrise Rotary. The club provides volunteers weekly for Vista’s bread distribution program and assists with the annual Back-to-School and Adopt-a-Family holiday programs. In addition, monetary contributions have supported the Healthy Packs and Empty Bowls projects.
