Greetings from Raquel Mac Donald - Interact District Governor

Hi! I’m Raquel Mac Donald, the Interact District Governor for this year.  I cannot tell you how excited I am to keep developing our Interact District 5490 and make it better than ever!  I am so lucky that I had such a wonderful role model and mentor, Sam Sanders, to show me how to become a great District Governor and how much effort that takes.  This year, my goal as District Governor is to establish more connections between our Interact clubs and their parent Rotary clubs.  Although separately we can do a lot, by combining our forces we will see greater results and even greater future Rotarians. 

 

I am so grateful that my Interact Club is so well connected with the Bullhead City Rotary, which includes as a member the wonderful Art Harrington, without him or Jim Green none of this would be possible.   I really wish to see every club have such great connections with their Rotary.  This year will also be the second year that we will have District Conference, and I am excited to show our Interact Clubs what wonderful things we have all been doing.  That being said, another goal of mine is to continue building the connections between our Interact clubs, and I believe that in the upcoming year we will make great leaps forward in connecting all of them, especially because I will be assisted by the Chief Assistant Governor, Cia Villanueva.  Thank you for this wonderful opportunity Rotary, and I can’t wait to get started!
