Hello everyone! I hope you are doing well and are having a great start to the new year!

Our Interact District Conference is coming up, and we are very excited about it. It has taken a lot of work to plan the conference and fit everything into a three-hour time frame, and we can't wait to share what we have planned. We will feature Ben Lutz and DG Elizabeth Mahoney as our speakers, who will share their Interact and Rotary stories. We are also featuring three Interact clubs who have gone above and beyond this past year. The BASIS Scottsdale Interact Club, the Canyon View High School Interact Club, and the Bradshaw Mountain High School Interact Club will present the projects they have been doing and how they are running their clubs.
We hope to give struggling clubs the tools and ideas to reinvigorate their Interact clubs. There will also be breakout sessions where everyone at the conference can get to know each other and share problems they have in their club and solutions to fix them. The Interact Ambassadors for both the Crutches 4 Africa and Crutches 4 Mexico trips have been chosen and will be officially recognized at the conference. The District Council will also recognize the Interact clubs for the Clubs of Distinction and video contest awards. The IDC is open to anyone and will be full of useful information, and you can also get to know the Assistant Governors you have been working with throughout the year.

The conference will be on February 20th and is free to register; you can register on our website at rotaryazinteract.org. If you would like to connect with your Interact clubs, we can connect you with the club and the Assistant Governor assigned to the club. You can always contact me at ashtonkling34@gmail.com or Art at arthts@msn.com. You can also see some of the amazing things that our Interact clubs are doing by going to our official Instagram page, interactaz5495. Don’t forget that Interact is the start of the chain that leads all the way to Rotary.

         Thank you, and stay safe!
