Re:        Conference

Dear DG Chuck and Susan

Dear DG John

What a Conference!!  You, your conference team, your District team, Rotarians, Rotaractors, Interactors, RYLArians, awardees, presenters, exhibitors, conference project team, musicians, photographers, venue staff, and indeed anyone associated in any way with the Conference should feel elated, delighted, and incredibly proud of the superb event that this conference was.  In over fifty conferences, this is one of the very, very best John and I have attended.  It was absolutely outstanding in every way!  It highlighted so many aspects of Rotary and I could not touch on them all.  But every presentation, every interaction, every consideration, was noted and is reflected in my words back to Rotary International.

In particular, John and I would very much like to thank everyone for the personal and very warm touches of welcome – each was most appreciated and will forever be held in our hearts.

Finally, the post-conference generosity of heart and hand, by you and your Rotarians, made this time in Arizona and its regions, a time that will bring many years of beautiful memories of special friends.  Time with yourselves and the Rotarians of Sedona was wonderful and appreciated beyond words.

President Gary and Corinna asked us all to light a small flame rather than curse the darkness.  You have led lighting the way, and achieved so much across your local and international communities through the magnificent work of so many equally magnificent Rotarians.  You do indeed Light up Rotary, and John and I feel so very privileged to have been present at such a brilliant and meaningful conference.

So, may you only ever have joy in your hearts as you continue the increasingly necessary work of Rotary, but take time to savour the many marvellous moments of this District Conference – it is one that definitely will stand as a blazing beacon and you all certainly did Light Up Rotary.

Thank you all.

Yours in Rotary Service
Cathy
