The Litchfield Park Rotary Club and the Millennium High School Interact Club hit the road.

We had a great turnout from the Millennium H.S. Interact Club, with 34 kids in all. We split the group in half, with 17 kids on each side of Litchfield Road working northbound all the way to the traffic light at the south gate of Luke AFB. We covered a lot of ground in a little more than an hour. The dozens of orange trash bags on the ground will be collected by one of my Landcare crews.

Present were club members Debra, Tim, Bill and Bobbie. The kids’ attitudes were great and everyone had plenty of water. Ground Control owner Sean Rassas hosted the entire group for free drinks afterward. His daughter Sidney is also in the Millennium Interact Club. There were a few kids that were not Millennium students that also pitched in.

I highly recommend attending one of these if you get the chance. Watching these good kids with great attitudes do good for our community is a great experience. I have attached a couple of photos for you. A group photo will soon be on our web site.

Warm regards,
President Tim Blake
