Mysterious Note regarding the District Conference

This mysterious note arrived to promote the May 15-16, 2015 District Conference in Phoenix!
Rotary’s icon Past Rotary International President (PRIP) Cliff Dochterman has said the Past District Governors (PDGs) just accumulate. Although what PRIP Cliff has said is true in many respects, the PDGs in District 5490 go one big step farther. The following is a true story about the PDGs of District 5490 today . . .
District Governor (DG) Chuck Fitzgerald recently asked PDG Jim Green to spearhead a prominent committee of PDGs to help generate interest in attending the District Conference (DC) around the district by touting the program and networking opportunities with the district’s Club Presidents (Ps). The committee of august personages is called the ”Have Beens Who Still Are (HBWSA).” Since the DG asked the PDG to form the HBWSA of PDGs to talk with the Ps about the DC, the excitement throughout the district has become overwhelming.
The august group of HBWSAs is composed of the following PDGs: (listed in no particular order) Art Harrington, Bill Porter, Bill Snedecor, Craig Wilson, Don Schiller, Duce Minor, George Wheeler, Jeanie Morgan, John King, Marty Feldman, Rob Whiteaker, Ron Roderique, Sara Jane Feldman and Wilma Basnett Emerson. This is another example of how the PDGs of the HBWSA can work with the Ps to garner excitement about district services like the DC.
