During the time they are our guests, New Generations Service Exchange (NGSE) participants are expected to do a service project as a part of their exchange.   Normally it involves helping the applicant's hosting club with whatever service project the club or district is doing.

District 5490 has really stepped up to the plate in support of the Rotary NGSE Program.  If all goes well we could have four to five NGSE applicants in our District during August to September!  Besides the Peoria North Club hosting Sandy from Taiwan, here is what other District Clubs are doing:

The Sun City Rotary Club is hosting a male medical student from India August to September, 2014.
The Grand Canyon Rotary Club is hosting a young woman from India, studying to be a chef, August to September, 2014.
The Prescott Valley Rotary Club is hosting a young woman from Moscow, Russia, who just graduated from law school, from July 20th to the second week of September, 2014.
The Sunup Rotary Club in Prescott wants to host a young woman from Brazil but the Embassy denied her a visa so far.  We are still working on this.
