A few words came to me following a recent club service project.

A Penny for Your Ponderings

Is there something you have pondered?  Something you wanted to do for someone else, then talked yourself out of?  What happens when you share those ponderings with someone who cares and has connections?  Wonderful things happen when several thoughts turn to energy and needs are made known and plans made to get them met.  Reaching out to Peoria Department of Child Safety has been an idea transferred to action on a few occasions.

Brought to light once again, Saturday, Oct 18, 2014, when members of The Peoria Rotary Club, Vineyard Church North Phoenix, Kohl’s of Avondale and Cornerstone Carpet Care joined together to clean things up for the Peoria Department of Child Safety. Toys, carpets, windows, walls and a washroom were wiped, scrubbed and sanitized.  Ideas and plans of how to make things better and possibilities for other projects were formed.  Friendships and relationships were strengthened and two pennies and a nickel were found.  What idea, adventure or service can seven cents persuade?
