Way to go Rotary!  Our "Support Our Troops in Kuwait" service project was a great success.  Thank you Debra Undhjem for leading this awesome project....

During our District Conference, Rotarians packed 57 boxes of hope for our Troops in Kuwait.  A total of $1,100 was left over after all of the package postage was paid for....these funds will support families at Luke AFB through Fighter Country Partnership (www.fightercountry.org).
First note received from Captain Ivan Tapia in Kuwait:

Debra,
Oh my goodness that is a lot of donations, you guys rock. I will take them to the outlaying sites as I mentioned, I will ensure we take pictures with the boxes too. That is why America is such a great nation because it is composed of great people like you and your organization, that genuinely care about us here. I'm totally for supporting our local library's we need our kids to continue the summer reading camps. You guys are awesome!

I will let you know when the boxes arrive. Thank you again for all that you do.

Respectfully,
Captain Ivan Tapia
Second note received from Captain Ivan Tapia in Kuwait, with photos below:

Debra,

My dear friend, on the behalf of all of the Soldiers, Airmen, Sailors and Marines I wanted to take the opportunity to genuinely say thank you. The care packages your group put together truly put a smile on many of our service men and woman. We are very fortunate to have wonderful people that are supportive of our Military.

I have been receiving small amounts of boxes at a time. I will continue to deliver them to all those different servicemen and woman across the area. I'm saving a large portion of boxes to some Airmen and Marines that are in a very remote area about three hours from here. I will send you those pictures once I get a chance to visit them. I hope you enjoy the picture I put together for you guys.

The email below is from a Sergeant in charge of Soldiers running a fuel lab responsible for a very critical task in the middle east.

"Sir,

I just want to thank you for bringing the care packages and appreciating our line of work. This was the first face to face complement that we have received from an outside source since we took over lab operations in theater and it means a lot to me and my Soldiers. If there is anything you need we are here for you.

Thanks,
SGT Kazmierski, Edmund J"
