93rd Ripple of Peace: Have a "Peace-in" at work or in your community or neighborhood.
In the 1960's, many college students held sit-ins to make their views known to school administrators. They took a stand for a specific issue, or set of issues, by remaining in one place for a prolonged period of time, counting on their solidarity to call public and media attention to the topic at hand. This approach, when non=violent, continues to have merit today.
Meet with the people in your neighborhood or from a local school to discuss having a "Peace-in" for a day, a week or longer. During that time consider demonstrating your commitment to Peace.
Be Creative. Have fun. Advertise Peace/

May you know and be Peace.
Dear Friends of Peace,
If you have the opportunity, practice the:
94th Ripple of Peace: Take a vacation in another country.
Visiting another country offers us a multitude of ways to create Peace in the world. We can enhance our personal understanding of another culture and share what we learn with our family and friends. We can also be ambassadors for Peace while we visit.
Plan to take your next vacation in another country. Pay close attention to world conditions and pick a location where you are likely to feel and be safe. While you are there, make it a point to get to know as many residents as you can, develop a close relationship with a few residents or stay with a local family. Exchange visions of Peace and listen openly to inhabitants' opinions and experiences.
Consider combining your vacation with a gift of service. Check into options, such as those offered by the Sierra Club and Habitat for Humanity, for taking part in a project related to social, environmental and other Peace-related issues..

Traveling to another country is a great way to understand what other people experience. This week's ripple will prepare us to be effective Peacebuilders.
95th Ripple of Peace: Learn and apply effective methods of conflict resolution and Peacemaking
The more we know about proven methods for creating Peace, the better equipped we are to remain at Peace with people in our lives. In addition, we may be able to use our knowledge to facilitate others in finding Peace and to understand what might be effective in creating and sustaining Peace at work and in the world at large.
Take courses in various methods of conflict resolution, mediation, and Peacemaking. Read about successful efforts to create Peace. Share what you learn with local and regional community groups and schools, as well as with people at work.
