Dominic DeMartino, Postmaster of Scottsdale Arizona, was keynote speaker at recent Rotary Club of Scottsdale luncheon meeting held at McCormick Ranch Golf Club.  When introducing Postmaster DeMartino, Rotarian Christopher West noted that the Postmaster has oversight of 5 large Post Offices in Scottsdale with Scottsdale Main, Fountain Hills, Kachina, Hopis and Airpark stations and a team of 510 employees. The delivery area constitutes 175 city routes, 90 rural routes and 130 Highway Contract Routes, covering 184 square miles and over 200,000 daily deliveries. 
 
During his talk Postmaster DeMartino addressed and/or answered questions about: zip code numerical significance; latest post office technologies; USPS websites; USPS printing and managing bulk mailings; postal vehicles present and future; self-driving vehicle and fuel cost issues; passport management; postal worker unions, payroll and retirement budgeting; senate postal reform; and more.
 
At the meeting, the winners of the Club's Foundation Charity Raffle were announced by Fundraiser Chair, David Pastor.  The Fundraiser's proceeds fund projects, such as, Polio Plus/End Polio Now; Pure Water for the World, International Medical Supplies, International Youth Exchange, Local Youth Scholarships and more.
