Service Project Idea - Constitution Day

Dear Arizona Rotarians,

 

I am a member of the South Jeffco Rotary Club in Lakewood, Colorado. 

This past Constitution Day, September 17, 2014, 130 attorneys visited classes of 5th graders and distributed 2,000 of our pocket Constitution books.  The attorneys went over aspects of the US Constitution and answered the students questions.  This was funded and coordinated by the Arizona Bar Foundation and the Arizona Law Alliance.   We had a meeting of interested stakeholders in December at the Arizona Bar Foundations office in Phoenix to discuss how this program might be expanded throughout the state of Arizona.   This past year focused on Maricopa County.
