Arizona Rotarians traveled to Cuernavaca, Moreles, Mexico to exchange grant opportunities and to strengthen friendships. The results are amazing!

District 5490 Rotary Foundation Chair and PDG George Wheeler, let a team of 18 Rotarians to Cuernavaca in late October and early November. District Grants Chair Elizabeth Mahoney spent the better part of three days working with her Mexican counterpart Peter Buholzer to ensure committed club funds were used to maximize our District Designated Funds. What were the results? Between the US clubs and the Mexico clubs, nearly $60,000 was committed to 9 Global projects. Once the District matches occurred, and the Rotary Foundation matches occurred, nearly $300,000 was committed to these great projects. What are the projects?

- Equipment for Children with Disabilities
- Block Watch
- Waste Water Treatment
- Surgery Equipment for Children
- Orphanage Support
- School Libraries
- Water Saving & Community Gardens
