What is ArizonaRotary.org?

One of the best kept secrets about Rotary in Arizona is this website.  In addition to helping folks find a club in their community, it is a great tool for clubs too!
 
This new website (www.ArizonaRotary.org) serves 2 primary goals.
 
To increase Rotary Club Membership throughout the state:
  • Informs the General Public about Arizona Rotary.
  • Encourages Arizona’s non-Rotarians to attend a club meeting
  • Helps the general public to find a club in their area using an updated search feature which also provides them detailed information such as  when each club meets, where it meets and how to contact someone at that club.
  • Provides a Club Speaker calendar with information about who is speaking at various clubs, what the topic is and when and where the meeting is to take place. Encourages them to visit.
  • Provides an Upcoming Club Events listing encouraging them to attend our various fundraisers and special days our clubs have planned.
To give Rotarians a place to see and connect with what is going on at other Clubs in our state:
  • Provides a place for Clubs to post their Meetings, Speakers and Topics on one common calendar, encouraging us to visit other clubs with speakers and topics we find interesting.
  • Provides a place for Clubs to post their Upcoming Events or service projects so we can all attend those of interest to us. Also eliminates the “too many” emails we receive about all the individual club events going on.
Each club should appoint ONE person to update the calendar regularly; this person should be familiar with Google Calendar. The Club President will be sent instructions on how to access and edit the calendar the first week of February.
 
Any clubs that want their fundraising events or other special happenings posted in the Special Events section should contact Rusty Pile (rusty@ave25.com) directly with complete details and a photo or logo for the event and he will post it if it qualifies. Generally speaking, if it’s a fundraising event with a start and end date it qualifies, a service project we are all invited to help with would qualify, or if it is a high-profile, publicly-known individual speaking, that would also qualify.  Here is a screen shot of the "Upcoming Events" part of the website, and another screen shot of the "Upcoming Speaker" calendar part of the website.
