Dear Presidents, Club Membership Chairs, and Assistant Governors,

Thank you for the leadership you provide in building vibrant, growing Rotary clubs. Your efforts to attract, engage, and retain members are at the very heart of how we thrive together.

You are not alone in this work. Our District Membership Committee stands ready as one of your most valuable resources:
  • District Membership Chair: Ed Anderson, Sun Lakes
  • Membership Attraction Subcommittee Chair: Julie Ewald, Four Peaks
  • Membership Engagement Subcommittee Chair: Darlene Eger, Peoria North
  • New Club Development Subcommittee Chair: Polly Cady, Mesa West
  • Lead Coordinator: Todd Harris (Past District Membership Chair), Four Peaks
This is a talented and committed team whose sole focus is helping your club succeed.

Important Update on Membership Leads
Rotary International has updated the way membership leads are managed:
  • Prospective members are now matched directly to clubs based on their interests and preferences
  • Lead information is sent directly to your Club President and Membership Chair
  • Timely follow-up is critical—please make contact as soon as possible
  • If no follow-up is completed and documented within 10 days, the lead is routed to the District
  • After an additional 10 days, it returns to RI for further follow-up
This is a tremendous opportunity. These individuals have already expressed interest in Rotary. A prompt, personal connection can make all the difference.

How We Can Support You
Our District Membership Team is eager to support you in any way—whether it’s attracting new members, strengthening engagement, improving retention, or exploring new club models. Let them know what you need and how we can help.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out. Let us partner with you to grow stronger, more dynamic clubs.

Together, we are building something special.

With appreciation,

DG Jim Schmidt
